Efeito do exercício físico e da nutrição na prevenção do câncer / Effect of physical exercise and nutrition in cancer prevention

Este estudo tem como objetivo investigar alguns fatores de risco e de proteção para o câncer. Tal doença apresenta no mundo atual elevada incidência e mortalidade, representando um problema de saúde pública de alta magnitude. Epidemiologistas estudiosos relatam que no último Século, a prevalência de câncer no mundo está aumentando de maneira significativa, acredita-se que este resultado relaciona-se, entre outros aspectos, com a industrialização e a urbanização ocorridas neste período. Pouco se sabe que agentes protetores tais como alimentação adequada e atividade física constituem fatores de proteção para o câncer, em contrapartida o sedentarismo e escolhas alimentares erradas são poderosos fatores de risco, bem como a obesidade. Até o presente momento, é possível inferir que a melhor forma de prevenção do câncer é a adoção de um estilo de vida saudável, aliando dieta adequada e exercício físico

This study aims to investigate some risk and protective factors for cancer. This disease presents in today’s world high incidence and mortality, representing a public health problem of high magnitude. Epidemiologists scholars report that in the last century, the prevalence of cancer in the world is increasing significantly, it is believed that this result is related to, among other things, with industrialization and urbanization during this period. Little is known that protective agents such as proper nutrition and physical activity are protective factors for cancer, on the other hand sedentary lifestyle and wrong food choices are powerful risk factors, as well as obesity.
